Some respite.

 Valentine's was a very busy time at the shop. Despite the double shifts some days, I suppose it was worth it-- I did make enough in commissions to afford the new collector's edition of Kawabata's works. 

For now though, I have a couple of days off. I wonder how I should spend it?

An adult toy shop, actually. Also very packed over the weekend.

I could always go home to Kanagawa for a visit, I suppose.

Yes. Usually girls will give chocolates to boys they like.

However, now men also try to make the day a little special for their significant others.

i do not understand why it is the girls? in germany we do not do much for valentines day, but i think it is also often the boys who do things. my school let people buy a rose for people in class that were brought around.

are the chocolates just the girls, or is that what the men do also?
