 Ah, it is already November. How quickly time passes.

Firstly, I must commend Keigo for a greatly enjoyable Halloween party. Also much appreciation to Aragaki-kun for being a wonderful date. Perhaps we can visit a tea shop again sometime.

Yes, usually my mother and I double team it together. Usually I simply let An take sneak bites of the preparations.

That sounds like quite the fun family activity. My family just buys food, since none of us are culinarily gifted.

It is quite enjoyable. When I was younger, my grandmother used to help us, as well. She much prefers yelling over how much of a disappointment I am now.

That also sounds like a nice family tradition, though it may be unconventional. Do you simply enjoy the holiday with your immediate family?

We have extended family, but they're not in the prefecture and we don't see them very often, so yes, it's mostly immediate family, and perhaps my sister's catch of the month.

She is lovely. Our family is convinced that she is going to live forever. She is a woman with ball of steel.

Ah, I see. We also have my sister's significant other joining us, it sounds like, so it should make for an interesting holiday. I understand having family who don't live in the same prefecture. Sometimes it's nice to simply keep the gathering small.

Formidable old ladies are something else, aren't they? I can't think of another demographic that inspires as much awe.

I agree. I dislike rowdy crowds.

They truly are. I enjoy listening to her stories; they are fascinating. She doesn't fit the... how should I put it? The traditional Japanese woman way? I've learned a lot from her.

I feel that there is a time and place to be rowdy, but it's hard to capture the intimacy of a small gathering when there are many.

We are. She doesn't let me get away with anything, however. She cannot hear very well, but somehow she never misses a single thing I say.

It is. Though, I suppose it does depend on the size of the group...
